Accounting Intern: Job Description

Reporting Structure: Reports to the Accounting Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Finance department as an Accounting Intern. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various accounting tasks and contribute to the overall success of our organization. This position is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, has a strong work ethic, and is looking to kickstart their career in accounting.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
  • Prepare and process journal entries
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements
  • Perform bank reconciliations
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
  • Conduct research and analysis on financial data
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Support the team in ad-hoc financial projects

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
