Reporting Structure: Reports to Claims Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Claims Adjuster to join our team. As a Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and settling insurance claims. You will work closely with policyholders, witnesses, and other relevant parties to gather information and determine the extent of coverage. Your objective will be to ensure fair and accurate claim settlements while adhering to company policies and industry regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate insurance claims by gathering relevant information, such as police reports, medical records, and witness statements
  • Analyze policy coverage, determine liability, and evaluate damages to determine the validity of claims
  • Negotiate settlements with claimants, attorneys, and other insurance companies to reach fair and accurate claim resolutions
  • Review and interpret policy documents, contracts, and legal statutes to assess coverage and liability
  • Document claims files with accurate and detailed information, including investigation findings, claim decisions, and settlement agreements
  • Work closely with internal teams, such as underwriters and legal counsel, to ensure proper claim handling
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to enhance claim handling processes
  • Provide excellent customer service by promptly responding to inquiries and addressing concerns

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Proven experience as a Claims Adjuster or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of insurance policies and claim handling processes
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interpret and apply legal statutes and policy language
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficient in using claims management software and other relevant tools
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
