Department: Finance

Reporting Structure:

The Payroll Accountant will report directly to the Finance Manager.

Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Payroll Accountant to join our Finance team. As a Payroll Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees. This role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of payroll regulations, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll for all employees accurately and on time
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
  • Review and reconcile payroll data to resolve any discrepancies
  • Generate payroll reports for management
  • Manage and maintain employee payroll records
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve any issues
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate employee data and changes are reflected in the payroll system
  • Assist with year-end payroll processes, including W-2 preparation
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll regulations and best practices

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations
  • Proficiency in payroll software and MS Excel
