Retail HR Manager: Job Description [Updated for 2024]
We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Retail HR Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of HR, including recruitment, employee relations, training and development, compensation and benefits, and labor law compliance. Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire employee lifecycle, from recruitment to separation, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for all employees
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that comply with current labor laws and company standards
- Manage all employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, counseling, and disciplinary actions
- Partner with store managers to identify staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies to attract top talent
- Conduct or coordinate training sessions on various HR-related topics, including performance management, harassment prevention, and diversity and inclusion
- Administer and maintain accurate employee records, including personnel files, benefits enrollments, and timekeeping systems
- Develop and monitor key HR metrics to assess the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives
- Collaborate with the payroll department to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee payroll and benefits
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in HR to continuously improve processes and programs
- Lead and participate in special HR projects as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- At least [5] years of experience in HR management, preferably in the retail industry
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels of the organization

- Ability to travel to different store locations as needed
